After waiting for what s felt like forever, the Grammys are finally happening this Sunday, March 14. The dance/electronic categories have never gotten much play on the live telecast and that won t change much this year, with none of the genre nominees performing and all of the dance/electronic trophies being awarded during the Premiere Ceremony that s happening ahead of the big nationally broadcast livestream. (This Premiere event will stream live on the Grammys website starting at 3 p.m. ET.)
The dance scene will, however, get some primetime shine with Kaytranada s best new artist nomination. Beyond that, we dance fans are excited to see how the awards shake out in the three dance categories, particularly with a flurry of scene heroes and exceptional projects in the running.
