The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has announced that the agency will interpret federal civil rights law to include a ban on discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, leading critics to say it could require hospitals and doctors to perform sex-change surgeries.Â
In an announcement Monday morning, HHS explained that it will interpret Title IXâs explicit prohibition on sex discrimination to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
Under the policy, HHS Office for Civil Rights will enforce Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act to protect âthe civil rights of individuals who access or seek to access covered health programs or activitiesâ and prevent discrimination âagainst consumers on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.â
On Thursday, FRC released a memo which in-part noted that President Biden has made at least $479.9 billion available that can subsidize abortion and abortion businesses more than 19 times the level set under President Obama.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo expressed disappointment at the Biden administrationâs failure to emphasize religious freedom and what he described as disowning the glorious work of the Commission on Unalienable Rights established under former President Donald Trump.
