Town Elections will be held on Saturday, April 10.
Torre, who was re-elected to the School Committee last year, said she was drawn to running for Select Board this spring after learning more about the town s incoming and possible high-density housing projects. The more I heard about the high-density housing projects and could see the direction the town is going I knew it was time to do it, Torre said.
She said Billerica is at a crossroads right now and feels the tone of the board should be turned back to the residents and away from in-fighting among members.
She said she is hoping to help . protect our neighborhoods and maintain the character of [Billerica].
Nursing home residents among first to get COVID vaccine in mass
LOWELL, MA (WBZ) Those in long-term care and nursing home facilities will be among the first people to get the COVID-19 vaccine in Massachusetts. For their families, this advancement is a ray of hope to one-day hug their loved ones again.
With a coronavirus vaccine on the way, 79-year-old Claudia Torre told WBZ-TV from her nursing home window in Lowell that she’s eager to finally step outside and be with her relatives.
“I’m the type of person who likes to be outside, walking around,” she shouted. “I think I’m going to be one of the top ones because I’m older!”
