Acronis has appointed Tarsus On Demand a cloud distributor confirming further investment in the African continent.
Brendan Haskins, Chief Technology Officer, Tarsus On Demand said the company’s marketplace delivers a unified Cloud experience and centralised control for SaaS applications and cloud computing from any cloud-enabled vendor integrated into it.
“We first started working with Acronis in 2017 which was one of the first fully automated solutions that we were able to offer through our Cloud Blue platform. Our relationship with Acronis, and our trust in their ever-improving technology offering, has grown from strength to strength over the years. 2021 sees us embark together on an exciting new avenue in our relationship.”
Anton Herbst takes reins at Tarsus from Miles Crisp

Tarsus Technology Group, the ICT distributor that is currently the subject of a takeover bid by Alviva Technology Holdings the parent of Axiz and Pinnacle has appointed Anton Herbst as its new CEO.
The appointment of Herbst, a Tarsus veteran who started his career at the company when it was still known as MB Technologies, comes after the resignation of Miles Crisp as CEO. Herbst will take the reins on 1 March.
Between 2001 and 2011, Herbst was MD of Advanced Channel Technologies, a company within the Tarsus group that focused on the distribution of printer consumables and accessories.

Tarsus Technology Group (TTG) has appointed TTG veteran Anton Herbst as its CEO with effect from 1 March 2021.
Herbst replaces Miles Crisp, who resigned earlier this month to pursue new interests.
Herbst started his his career at MB Technologies (which later became Tarsus) 20 years ago.
Between 2001 and 2011, Herbst was the MD of Advanced Channel Technologies (ACT), a company within the group that focused on the distribution of printer consumables and accessories.
He rejoined the group in July 2013 as CEO of Tarsus Distribution and served as a member of the main board. He assumed responsibility for group strategy and innovation in 2014 and was appointed CEO of Tarsus On Demand in 2016.
