WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) -Thereâs no doubt that small businesses have had to adapt to make it through the pandemic. One has changed its name, its purpose, and now, itâs location.
The Magick Apothecary is the newest addition to Salmon Run Mall. It used to be known as the Tarot Cafe on Public Square. When the pandemic shut the former business down, owners Seth Hill and Sexton Reece knew they had to adapt.
WATERTOWN â Seth M. Hill already feels at home in his new tea and herbs store he opened Wednesday at the Salmon Run Mall.
For four years, Mr. Hill operated the Tarot Cafe in the Franklin Building on Public Square. After the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic began last year, he changed the direction of the business last June â from a cafe offering teas and coffees to an apothecary selling teas and a variety of remedies.
Now heâs left the square and opened The Magick Apothecary in the former Gertrude Hawk Chocolates location in the mall.
âI couldnât be happier,â he said. âItâs been a dream of mine.â
