FORT WORTH, Texas - A partnership in Tarrant County is taking the COVID-19 vaccine and registration help where it’s needed.
On Tuesday, the mobile clinic was in a west Fort Worth community. One of the reasons we came here to the Las Vegas Trail area is there are folks here who don’t have the transportation resources to get to some of the vaccine distribution sites, said Brian Byrd.
The clinic got underway just as Tarrant County commissioners discussed more ways to reach underserved communities and overcome challenges like language barriers.

FORT WORTH, Texas - Tarrant County announced another 29 COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday, including the death of a baby.
The news was paired with some better news showing what seems to be the start of a downturn.
The Fort Worth baby boy was younger than a year old. That is a rarity, but it is very sad, said Tarrant County Health Director Dr. Vinney Taneja. It’s heartbreaking that we’ve lost a child.
In just the past two days, more than 50 deaths have been reported in Tarrant County. And with COVID-19 hospitalizations again nearing 1,500, there are fears the situation will only get worse.
Texas Health Resources new vaccination sites in Tarrant County are pulling names from the county s waitlist.
As of Tuesday evening, UT Southwestern and Parkland were pulling from their own patient rolls and sign-ups, while Dallas County s hub was using its online waitlist.
“We’re just going to have to reach out to the community and get everybody informed,” said Tarrant County Health Director Dr. Vinny Taneja.
Taneja said it’s not just knowledge but technology that’s a problem for many.
“A lot of people are either they don’t have the access to go online or when they get online, they get confused,” he said.
