ComingSoon.net has an exclusive clip from the second season of BritBox’s crime drama series
The Mallorca Files. The series is created by Dan Sefton (
The Good Karma Hospital) and stars Elen Rhys (
Broadchurch,
Nightlife,
Pagan Peak). Season 2 will debut on the streamer on Tuesday, March 2. You can check out the clip now in the player below, which features our detective duo being followed by a mysterious man.
The Mallorca Files centers around two mismatched Detectives – DC Miranda Blake (Elen Rhys), an introvert who is used to living by the rules – and her German counterpart Max Winter (Julian Looman), whose approach to policing is based on gut-instinct, with little interest in procedure. The first season proved to be a hit with audiences and critics alike and the second season recently returned in the UK where it increased significantly in viewers.

After all, the sixth and final episode of The Mallorca Files – set on a Spanish horse ranch in the mountains – ends like any other episode, with the case solved and our detective duo sharing a moment to celebrate. So, surely Max Winter (Julian Looman) and Miranda Blake (Elen Rhys) will be back for more?
Here’s everything we know about season three so far.
Daytime TV might not be where you expect to find a glossy crime caper, but that s exactly what BBC1 offers with The Mallorca Files, which returned this week for its second series.
Dubbed the Balearic Death In Paradise , the light-hearted daily afternoon show follows mismatched pair of police officers - laid-back German detective Max (Julian Looman) and highly strung Brit Miranda (Elen Rhys) - as they tackle the island s soaring crime rate in their own freewheeling way.
Perfect for a bit of lockdown escapism, Max and Miranda are seen careering down the island s picturesque streets in a classic BMW and horseback riding on sun-drenched hills.
