Four men charged with first-degree murder in Cambridge shooting
State police say four men have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the early April shooting that left a Cambridge man dead.
Just before 10 a.m. on April 5, officers from the Cambridge Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the area of Greenwood Avenue and Gloria Richardson Circle, according to a Maryland State Police news release.
They arrived to find the victim, 22-year-old Da Jour Sorrell, lying on the ground. He d suffered gunshot wounds and was taken to Dorchester General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit was asked to take over the investigation. Members of the Criminal Enforcement Division and crime scene technicians from the State Police Forensic Sciences Division also responded to the scene to aid investigators.

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Monday night.
Shortly before 10 p.m., officers with the Cambridge Police Department responded to the area of Greenwood Avenue and Gloria Richardson Circle in Cambridge for a reported shooting. Police say the victim, identified as 22-year-old Da’Jour Sorrell, was taken by ambulance to Dorchester General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Cambridge Police requested that the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit assume the investigation. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim was riding a bicycle from the area of Greenwood Avenue toward Gloria Richardson Circle, when unknown shooters began firing at the victim. The victim fell off his bicycle and ran onto Gloria Richardson Circle, where one suspect reportedly fired additional rounds at the victim.

Shortly before 9:55 p.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department responded to the area of Greenwood Avenue and Gloria Richardson Circle in Cambridge, Maryland for a report of a shooting. The victim, Da’Jour Sorrell, 22, of Cambridge, Maryland, was transported by ambulance to Dorchester General Hospital, where he was declared deceased. Cambridge Police requested that the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit assume the investigation.
