Trustee Blakey of MVWSD. Public Policy of the past Boards and Administration (Superintendent Barry Groves) of the MVLA High School District delivered very early in their last facilities bonds on the promise of solar electric equipment. Hence - that public direction seemed to be taken seriously by the students. Now - Los Altos SD is also taking that type of facilities investment seriously (where the BOND MONEY is actually spent).
MVWSD Board majority policy did not support solar electric facilities. So, none were built in the last 10 years in MVWSD. Small wonder. But now - it looks like MVWSD is in-the-planning-stage. And maybe - students in MVWSD will start to get inspired by the example of their elders .

I was wondering the same thing as Atherton Resident. I suppose by his phrasing that it is likely to fuel a narrative peddled by conservatives he doesn t actually say it is an untrue narrative, he just implies it. But I find it almost amusing that he makes this claim only a few paragraphs after he states: Maybe the hardest news to take of all: While California is seeing its national stature shrink ever-so-slightly, that power is being shunted to our faster-growing rivals, Texas (which adds two seats) and Florida (which gets one).

Time for a small Bus Rapid Transit system WITHIN Mountain View. This type of system is highly cost effective because there is minimal capital investment in fixed structures (guideways of any sort). It is effective because the start up on the moving stock requires no R&D money. Buses + drivers = been there and done that (and the large VTA bus yard is right off Shoreline in the North Shorline area (Eureka!)
Auto-activated free pass timing of traffic signals (been there and done that!). Limited number and placement of center median boarding areas (been there done that SF, SJ and many cities around here both bus and light rail).

Lawyers for a trans woman being held in men’s prisons in Georgia are pushing for an immediate transfer to a women’s facility. In a new court filing, 42-year-old Ashley Diamond says she’s assaulted constantly, denied necessary medical treatment and retaliated against for complaining.
Diamond’s first legal battle with the Georgia Department of Corrections garnered national attention, including from the U.S. Department of Justice. That previous lawsuit led to apparent policy changes for trans inmates in Georgia prisons.
“But in reality, GDC refuses to place transgender women in women’s facilities regardless of their meeting the criteria set out,” said Diamond in a court declaration.
