(Omaha, NE) After nearly 20 years, Dr. Adi Pour retires as the Douglas County Health Director this week and Omaha s mayor wasn t going to let her leave without a bit of fanfare.
On Tuesday, Omaha Mayor Jean Sothert gave Pour a key to the city and declared Tuesday as “Dr. Adi Pour Appreciation Day.” Back in March, Pour announced her plans to retire this summer during a Douglas County Board of Health meeting. “Because of my age, I think, I had a lot of thoughts about when is the right time. So that’s when I made the decision in June the middle of the summer it is the right time.”
