The Grand Forks library is hosting a celebration to mark the finale of its summer reading program with a host of activities Thursday, Aug. 5.
The free event, which runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the library’s front lawn, is open to everyone, even if they did not participate in the 2021 Summer Reading Program, said Angie Laxdal, the library’s marketing director.
Bikes and books
The first weekend of May arrives with motorcycles, bikes and automobiles galore at the Alerus on Saturday and Sunday. And there is an exchange of books at the library in East Grand Forks.
Some of the would-be pets from Circle of Friends Animal Shelter are finding a new place to hang out and be seen. They have been moving in to the South Forks Mall. There are parakeets looking for a home, And lots of calico cats, according to Laura Lee Tupa.
