JOHOR BARU: A 26-year-old man was killed after his car crashed into a road sign at KM 10 North-South Expressway here.
Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Rupeah Abd Wahid said that the incident occurred at about 2.28am on Tuesday (March 9).
“The victim was driving a grey car and is believed to have lost control of his vehicle before crashing into the road sign at the left side of the road.
“The victim was pinned inside his vehicle and suffered a serious injury to the head. He was pronounced dead at the location by the medical team, ” she said in a statement here.
JOHOR BARU: A newborn baby boy was found abandoned in front of a house at Taman Johor near Skudai here.
Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Rupeah Abd Wahid said police received a call from the homeowner at around 7.30am on Thursday (Feb 11) about her find.
“The homeowner heard her doorbell ring, and when she went outside, there was nobody there except for the baby.
“The baby is believed to be around three days old based on his umbilical cord, and was left on the pavement lying on cloth and paper, ” ACP Rupeah said in a statement on Thursday.
She added that police brought the baby to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for a check-up and referred the matter to the Welfare Dept for further action.
