One of three men facing first-degree murder charges in the 2018 slaying of a Eureka Springs man remained in jail in Harrison on Monday, despite recently having his bond significantly reduced.

Charles Ky Hanna, 32, of Berryville is being held in the Boone County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. His bond originally was set at $1 million after his first judicial appearance before Carroll County District Judge Dale Ramsey on Feb. 8, but Carroll County Circuit Judge Scott Jackson issued an order April 23 to reduce the bond.
Deputies from the Carroll County Sheriffs Office found Alvards body inside his home near Eureka Springs on Feb. 8, 2018, after Alvards mother discovered that the door to the residence had been kicked in and there was a large amount of blood on the front porch, according to a probable-cause affidavit written by special agent Dale Bailey of the Arkansas State Police.

One of the three men arrested earlier this year in the 2018 murder of Christopher Alvard in his home near Eureka Springs confirmed to investigators that all three were involved in Alvards death, according to a probable-cause affidavit.

Joshua Lloyd Anderson, Charles Ky Hanna and Jason Hartley Helm, all of Berryville, were arrested on Feb. 8 the three-year anniversary of Alvards slaying.

Carroll County Circuit Judge Scott Jackson had ordered court documents in the case sealed, but rescinded that order on March 25.
According to a probable-cause affidavit written by special agent Dale Bailey of the Arkansas State Police, family members became concerned when they couldnt contact Alvard. Alvards mother went to his home on County Road 116 and discovered the front door had been kicked in and there was a large amount of blood on the front porch, the affidavit says.
