PLYMOUTH – It still doesn’t feel real, but reality is sinking in very quickly for Joey Walsh. That’s what happens when you get your dream job.
For as long as Walsh could lift a Louisville Slugger, he’s wanted to be a professional baseball player. It’s the same diamond dream that so many other young baseball players have had. That dream became reality Tuesday when the former Plymouth North and Boston College baseball star signed as an undrafted free agent with the Anaheim Angels.

April 18, 2021 ⚾: Robby Martin Homers in Finale vs. BC
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – No. 24 Florida State (18-14) could not cap the sweep of Boston College (15-18) Sunday, falling 5-3 at Dick Howser Stadium in a rainy Sunday finale. Outfielder Robby Martin hit his seventh home run of the year in the loss.
Initially delayed 2.5 hours for lightning and rain, the game was also delayed after the fifth inning for 53 minutes.
Dante Baldelli led off the third inning with his first triple of the season and scored on a Peter Burns groundball error. After Cameron Leary sacrificed Burns to third base, Sal Frelick reached on a fielder’s choice that doubled the Eagles lead to 2-0.

Nick Sinacola, the junior right-handed ace of the University of Maine baseball team, has reached a level of excellence all pitchers strive for but few reach. Batters know what Sinacola is going to throw, but they still can’t hit it.
In Sinacola’s start against Maryland-Baltimore County on March 27 – a game in which Sinacola struck out 16 in a seven-inning, 4-1 win – one hitter looked at two fastballs that painted the outside corner to fall behind in the count 0-2. Maine catcher Ryan Turenne watched the hitter step out of the box and psyche himself out.
