A record-breaking performance propelled Utah to its best finish at the national championships in years

Utah gymnastics’ national championship drought will continue for at least another year.
The Red Rocks finished in third place at the NCAA gymnastics championships Saturday afternoon behind national champion Michigan and runner-up Oklahoma at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Wolverines scored a 198.2500, winning the meet on the final routine, edging out the Sooners (198.1625) and Red Rocks (197.9875). Florida finished a distant fourth with a 197.1375.

The top-ranked Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team used a stellar performance to advance to the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional Final, posting a 198.000 in the second round Friday night inside Coleman Coliseum.
Missouri (197.325) will join the Sooners in the regional final along with Alabama and Arkansas, who advanced from the afternoon session. Maryland came in third at the meet with a 197.075.

K.J. Kindler earn her 400
th win as head coach of the Sooners.
Webb landed a perfect 10 on vault and took home four event titles to earn Gymnast of the Week. The 10 was the second of her career and first on vault. She finished the night in Fort Worth with event titles on the floor, beam and all-around. Her all-around score of 39.725 was a career best and is the third-highest score in the NCAA this season. This is the fourth time in six weeks the Morton Grove, Illinois senior has taken Gymnast of the Week honors, the seventh of her career.
