Homicide victims were from Glenview and Des Plaines

Evanston Now The two were killed in a midday shooting on Hovland Court in Evanston. Evanston police say the two men who were shot to death Friday in Evanston have been identified as residents of Glenview and Des Plaines. Jose Francisco Sanchez Guerrero, 21, lived in the 10400 block of Deerlove Road in Glenview. Demarcus Anthony Cokley, 20, lived in the 600 block of Lee Street in Des Plaines. They were both transported to Evanston Hospital by fire department paramedics where they died of their injuries. A third man shot in the incident, an 18-year-old Evanston resident, suffered several gunshot wounds that were described as non-life-threatening and was treated at Evanston Hospital.
