A shop operator was among two men killed, allegedly by gunmen, in Race Track outside May Pen in Clarendon on Friday night.
The deceased have been identified as 44-year-old Vincent Simpson, alias ‘Ballie’, ‘Banford’ and ‘Spanglers’, a shop operator of Pennant Wood; and Josiah Linton of Church Lane, both in Race Track, Clarendon.
According to the police, around 9 pm, residents heard explosions coming from a shop in the area, and alerted law enforcers.
On their arrival, the police found the two men with gunshot wounds at a shop.
It is unclear whether that particular shop was operated by Simpson.
The two wounded men were assisted to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
