Folks who watched the May township committee meeting may have learned something new about Barnegat’s freshman representative. Apparently, Marte has a special talent for writing poetry, especially about subjects that touch his heart. Marte, a United States Navy veteran took a few moments at the meeting to deliver an early Memorial Day message.  He shared a poem he said was written in honor of all veterans, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
