The father of Louis Asante, the boyfriend of police constable Sandra Asiedu, suspected to have murdered her, has been arrested.
The 59-year-old father of Louis, Joseph Asante, was arrested in Obuasi on Monday, August 2, 2021, over the murder case.
Asiedu, a general constable at Damongo in the West Gonja District of the Savannah Region was found dead at her residence on Monday, August 2, 2021.

Initial reports indicated that Asiedu’s boyfriend was suspected to have stabbed her to death making him the prime suspect.
ACP Yankson explained that in June 2020, the Cybercrime Unit at the CID Headquarters identified two Telegram channels namely hotstage and leaks engaging in the publication of nude images online. According to the police boss, his outfit in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Centre deployed operatives who managed to arrest the main suspects behind the channels at various locations. Joseph Asante, a level 100 student of an unnamed university was nabbed at his residence at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region.

Police have granted police enquiry bail to a university student for allegedly posting nude pictures and videos on social media platforms, and sex image extortion.
The suspect, Joseph Asante also known as, King Pluto,a level 100 student of the University(name withheld) was said to have posted more than 200 nude pictures and videos.
The Director of the Cyber Crime Unit and Child Protection Digital and Forensic Laboratory, Assistant Commissioner of Police(ACP) Gustav Herbert Yankson, disclosed these to the
Ghanaian Times in Accra, yesterday.
He said during the post Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) lockdown in the country cases of publication of obscene picture,videos and extortion were on the increase.
