Court round-up: See who has been before the courts

In the Dock THE following cases were heard at Peterlee and Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Courts in the last week. DAVID BOGGON, of no fixed address, was fined £40 after he stole cans of lager from Spar Store. The incident happened on April 7, of this year. Boggon, 33, indicated a plea of guilt and was made to pay £12 compensation and a £34 victim surcharge. He was also made to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. HARRY ATKINSON, 18, was handed a community order by the court after dangerous driving and failing to stop his vehicle when being asked to do so by a police officer. The Croftside, Birtley resident, was found guilty of the offence which took place March 27, 2021 at Murton. He was banned from driving for 15 months.
