JOHNSON CITY - Carroll Wayne Billheimer, 83, passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2021, in Johnson City, TN, surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Born August 9th, 1937 to Herbert and Jessie Billheimer, he had a wonderful childhood growing up in Elizabethton with countless friends to play with who went on to remain lifelong companions. It was in the 6th grade he met Jimmy Hardin; the two would go on to be best friends, one anotherâs Best Man, and at each otherâs side up until Carrollâs passing on Tuesday morning. Carroll managed two paper routes and performed small jobs helping others in the neighborhood from an early age. He graduated from Elizabethton High School in 1956. He lettered in baseball all four years and played on the football team. He continued cheering on the Cyclones through the duration of his life and onto the State Championships in 2019 and 2020. He attended Lincoln Memorial University on a baseball scholarship and attended East Tennesse

After more than 40 years in the Newfoundland and Labrador fishing industry, Nelson Bussey of Port de Grave knows when things are going well. And so far this year, he couldn t be happier. I think this will be the best year ever for the crab fishery, Bussey said recently, standing on the deck of his 65-foot fishing vessel, the Eastern Princess II.
Bussey has reason to be upbeat.
Beneath his feet, the fish hold on his vessel was crawling with nearly $400,000 worth of snow crab, a bounty so valuable that crew members aboard the Princess could hardly contain their delight.

TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. (WMBF) – A man named as a person of interest in a Florence County double homicide was denied bond Friday morning in separate drive-by shooting case in Timmonsville.
Police said a witness, whose home was struck three times in the shooting, told police he heard 15 to 20 gunshots.
