Vets say they’ll march on Memorial Day, permit or not, but hope to do it ‘the right way’

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Staten Island’s veterans and their supporters intend to march on Memorial Day whether or not they receive a permit.
U.S. Army veteran Lee Covino and U.S. Air Force veteran Ted Cohen said during a press conference at Hero Park in Tompkinsville that they’d prefer to proceed with a permit that the city’s already denied, but that local veterans organizations intend to march no matter what.
Gregory Perillo, an artist and philanthropist known as ‘Crazy Horse,’ dies two days shy of his 94th birthday

Perillo was surrounded by family when he died, just two days shy of his 94th birthday.
Although his health had been declining over the last few months, Perillo painted each day until 10 days before his death.

Born in Greenwich Village to Italian immigrant parents Gregorio and Antoinette Perillo, when Perillo was just 2 years old, his family relocated to Castleton Corners.
Perillo graduated from PS 29 in his home community and the school where he would eventually donate artwork, and McKee High School.

James J. Molinaro, 82, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 surrounded by family at home in Orlando, FL. He was born on January 28, 1939 in Steubenville. He is the son of late Rose Raymond Dustolfo and Enzo (Harry) Molinaro. Preceding him in death are his brothers Samual, Tony, and Robert Molinaro; Sisters Virginia Molinaro and Tootsie Meadows.
James served four years in the Army and then became a successful entrepreneur. He was owner of OVT Trucking Company and Molinaro Manor among other business endeavors.
James was a vibrant, one of a kind, man that spent his life dedicated to his family and being the best father anyone could ever wish for.
