A WELSHPOOL manufacturing firm has celebrated a massive landmark by making a golden version of its product, highlighting two million sales. Variable frequency drives (VFD) innovator and manufacturer Invertek Drives has reached a significant milestone with the production of its two millionth drive. The Welshpool-based company design and manufacture VFDs, which are used to control motors in a wide variety of industrial and energy saving applications. The one off ‘golden drive’ was produced at the company’s global assembly centre in Powys. The milestone comes after Invertek announced record sales during 2020 and the first quarter of 2021. It follows significant continued year-on-year growth since the company was established 23 years ago.
