“I’m Indigenous myself,” said organizer Tiffany Niece, who hails from Six Nations but now lives in Simcoe and operates Sloths & Molasses on Norfolk Street North. “I’ve had a lot of friends and people reach out to me wanting to know what they could do, with all the tragedies and finding of the kids.”

With help from a few friends, Niece put together the walk about five days prior.
“We were amazed with how the community came out and supported it,” she said. “It was more than we expected.”
