In a world of globalization and intersection, getting it right has never been harder.
With cannabis, the accompanying harms inflicted upon communities affected by trauma from the War on Drugs has bore witness to the potential for something that has often eluded them.
Economic justice.

Jersey Mike’s Subs and customers across the country rallied to raise $15 million to help more than 200 charities nationwide during the company’s 11th annual Month of Giving in March.
In New Jersey, $1 million was raised for Make-A-Wish New Jersey, which will create life-changing wishes for local children with critical illnesses in the weeks and months ahead, according to a press release.
Throughout March, customers were encouraged to make donations to Make-A-Wish New Jersey through the Jersey Mike’s mobile app or onsite at each participating location.
The campaign culminated with Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on March 31 when more than 90 local Jersey Mike’s locations donated 100% of the day’s sales, not just profit, to Make-A-Wish New Jersey, according to the press release.

Supporters of LADACIN Network, a local nonprofit, have found a new way to Plunge into 2021 and enhance the lives of people with disabilities. The LADACIN Virtual Plunge will kick off on Jan. 16 and run through January 30.
Instead of the traditional Plunge, it is a year to get creative with unique cold weather challenges wherever one may choose. Costumes are encouraged as well as any other chilly provisions needed to make LADACIN’s 2021 Plunge stand out, according to a press release.
The event will support LADACIN’s educational, therapeutic, social, residential and support services for more than 3,500 infants, children and adults with complex physical and developmental disabilities or delays living in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
