LAWRENCE, Kan. – A special edition of Hawk Talk with new Kansas football head coach Lance Leipold will take place at Johnny’s Tavern West Lawrence on Thursday, May 6 beginning at 6 p.m. CT.
The special edition Hawk Talk will give fans the opportunity to submit questions and hear from Leipold, alongside voice of the Jayhawks, Brian Hanni.
Leipold was announced as the head football coach for the Kansas Jayhawks on Friday, April 30, as a six-time National Champion, five-time conference coach of the year and the fastest coach in NCAA history to reach 100 wins. Leipold comes to KU after a successful six-year stay at Buffalo, where in his final three seasons he posted three straight winning seasons for the first time in 20 years.

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas softball team will take a break from Big 12 play this weekend to host Kansas City in a three-game series at Arrocha Ballpark. The first of the three games will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 9 with the second game to follow at 6 p.m. Action will conclude on Saturday, April 10 with a single game at 2 p.m. Note that game times have been changed from what was originally scheduled due to potentially bad weather. KU will now play a doubleheader on Friday with a single game Saturday rather than a single game Friday and a doubleheader Saturday.
Kansas meets up with Oklahoma in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City.
KU enters the contest at 19-8, ranked #11 in the latest AP Poll. OU, meanwhile, is 15-9 and ranked #25.
KenPom has the Jayhawks at #21 and the Sooners at #38. Note that the Jayhawks will be without David McCormack and Tristan Enaruna due to Covid protocols.
KU leads the all-time series with Oklahoma 151-69. The most recent meeting between these two programs was a 75-68 OU win in Norman back on January 23.
The Jayhawks are coming off a 67-62 home win over UTEP, while the Sooners won a 79-73 affair against Iowa State in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament just yesterday.

Hawk Talk will consist of seven shows done virtually from Allen Fieldhouse and will give fans the opportunity to listen to Coach Schneider answer fan questions about all things KU women’s basketball.
Hawk Talk with Brandon Schneider will take place each Thursday from 6-7 p.m. (CT) , and can be heard around the state of Kansas on the Jayhawk Radio Network affiliates and via KUAthletics.com, which will feature a live audio stream of the show.
