Will Kris Hutson push for bigger role as Oregon Ducks' Y receiver?

Will Kris Hutson push for bigger role as Oregon Ducks’ Y receiver? Updated 2:52 PM; Today 2:52 PM Wide receiver Kris Hutson (#14) poses after catching a touchdown pass as the Oregon Ducks hold their 2021 Spring Game at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday, May 1, 2021.Sean Meagher/The Oregonian Facebook Share The receiver spot with arguably the most flexibility on Oregon’s depth chart is in the slot. With Jaylon Redd out for most of the spring with a left foot injury, Mycah Pittman worked back inside, Kris Hutson got extensive work and Josh Delgado saw time at Y as well. Redd will return to the Y position and when he does it could allow Pittman to move back outside more often, but there will still be ample depth.

(Photo by Harry How/Getty Images)Getty Images Facebook Share The receiver position that saw the most fluctuation in the spring was the Z receiver. Jaylon Redd’s foot injury forced some pieces to move around and Mycah Pittman, who spent more of last season outside, was more in the slot. Johnny Johnson III, who can play either outside spot, saw a lot of time at Z with Devon Williams at X.

2022 NFL Draft: Oregon Prospects

The Kayvon Thibodeaux hype train has left the station. And it would appear almost unanimously among outlets the Ducks have a third straight top 10 selection in the NFL draft on its roster.  That’s the known commodity at least at this point. But what else will Oregon have in the NFL draft next season. Of course there is still work to be done but we can take an early look at this team and make some projections.  Given the fact that there was a season played that qualifies, but didn’t count against, I’m not going to be listing class as it’s arbitrary. The players listed below have at least fulfilled the three-year obligation to be elgible for the NFL draft.
