The Mississippi Municipal League’s 90
th annual conference wrapped up today. Attendees had the chance to visit multiple vendors and attend different committee meetings as well.
Several municipal excellence awards were handed out at the luncheon including one to the City of Pascagoula for the renovation of the Pascagoula Beach Park.
Pascagoula Mayor Jay Willis believes all the credit belongs to the nonprofit Pascagoula Pride and their work on beautifying the area. “It was an amazing accomplishment for the renovation job that has been done there. Pascagoula Pride has been in business for 33 years and raising money for the beautification of Pascagoula.”
