Core revamp should look to waterfront
This letter is prompted by my response to the Downtown London Re-imagined Survey, created by the group responsible for the Strategy and Implementation Plan (2021-25).

London should have a downtown that works more as a hub, a magnet, becoming an area that defines the city, not an embarrassing eyesore.
London needs to develop its waterfront on the east shore of the Thames River, shifting “downtown” to a more open, fresh location.

Disillusioned
As a responsible, proud citizen, I have defended the decisions of the federal and provincial governments regarding COVID-19, assuming they had the public’s best interests at heart.

We are all wondering why Premier Doug Ford is ignoring evidence and expert advice and not allowed outdoor sporting activities.
He is forcing people inside, into situations that contribute to transmission, creating the totally opposite effect of what he intends.

Scofflaws no help
Here we are in early May, with people second-guessing our political leaders constantly. Like other leaders around the world, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Doug Ford are coping with a situation no one expected. Meanwhile, the people who disregard basic safety measures are a major dysfunction in controlling the spread of COVID-19. Theirs is shameless behaviour.
