Groton A woman was injured and she and her family were displaced from their home following a fire Sunday morning.
The fire broke out about 5:19 a.m. at a home near 260 Great Brook Road, according to Jeffrey Post, chief of the Center of Groton Fire Department.
The family who lived in the home escaped the blaze but an unidentified woman, whose age was unknown, was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation and was later released, Post said.
The woman, another adult and their children were all displaced from their home, which was deemed uninhabitable. It wasn t clear how many members of the family lived in the home.
