Hours before the presidential inauguration, U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz sent social media aflutter by trolling toward the 2022 election cycle. Gaetz tweeted that he has no interest in challenging Sen. Marco Rubio and that the only statewide Florida office he d consider seeking would be agriculture commissioner.

@Dave Hardison I feel like anyone who is still encouraging violent overthrow of the government should have the decency to resign. He has free speech rights, so he can t be arrested, but at least we should ignore him.
