Dufry announces 10-year extension to Santiago Airport contract
Dufry has extended its concession contract at
Santiago International Airport in the
Dominican Republic for a further 10 years.
The new deal, which runs until 2034, will include a 40% increase in the sales area as planned development at the airport is set to create 1,000sqm of new retail space.
Dufry will also refurbish its existing stores at the site to feature new design and digital concepts, and the product mix will be refined to feature a “comprehensive selection” of both international and local brands.
Dufry Chief Operating Officer for Mexico and the Caribbean Juan-Antonio Nieto said: “We are very proud to be able to continue our long-standing and successful collaboration with Santiago International Airport and thank our partners for the renewed trust.
