Although Governor Andy Beshear said Kentucky senior citizen centers could re-open on Friday, June 11, area centers in the Pennyrile region will reopen July 1.
Officials with the Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD) and the Pennyrile Allied Community Services (PACS) made the announcement Thursday.

Jill Collins, PADD Director of Aging and Independent Living, tells the News Edge that they chose the July 1 date to give adequate time to re-open.
