The University of Minnesota School of Law is honoring one of its most distinguished alumni, both in physical space and online.
Walter “Fritz” Mondale, the former vice president, presidential candidate, ambassador, U.S. senator and state attorney general got his law degree from the Law School in 1956. He died on April 19 after a long career in public service.
Community college enrollment down across La. due to pandemic

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Enrollment is down at community colleges around the country due to the pandemic and the data is clear.
A recent study by the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center showed that enrollment is down 9.5% from a year ago. In Louisiana, 11 out of the 12 colleges in the Louisiana Community and Technical College System have seen a drop in numbers.
“Can you imagine going through this crisis for six to seven months?” asked Dr. Willie Smith. “People need to work and some folks lost their jobs and couldn’t afford to pay their tuition.”
