(Photo by Evan Bevins) PARKERSBURG City police officers delivered meals to 75 senior citizens in need Monday. Parkersburg Police Chief Joe Martin said hearing about seniors struggling to get food during the COVID-19 pandemic helped guide the department to the effort. The department often focuses initiatives on the youth of the community, he said, but this time they wanted to reach out to older residents. “They were very appreciative and surprised at the same time to see a police officer delivering food like that,” Martin said. ....
