Texas A&M s worst nightmare is suddenly a reality. Texas and Oklahoma are reportedly leaving the Big 12 for the SEC, putting the Longhorns and Aggies back in the same conference. Suddenly the Big 12 Conference is without its two largest schools and they are already looking at replacements. As the dominoes continue to fall, there will be plenty of Group of 5 leagues reshuffling its membership and ultimately UTEP could get their opportunity at last to leave Conference USA and move to the Mountain West.

The Don Haskins Center court is getting a significant redesign prior to the 2021-22 basketball season thanks to a $100,000 donation from the Cardwell Family, as announced by the athletics department on Tuesday.
The court will feature the Franklin Mountains and El Paso s famous star on the mountain. On the top left, the court will pay homage to legendary coach Don Haskins and include his signature on the floor. On the opposite side of The Bear s signature, the phrase Glory Road will be placed on the court in order to honor the 1966 Texas Western National Championship team.
Other improvements to the Don Haskins Center will include updating the current banners hanging in the rafters. They will show off a new 1966 Texas Western National Championship banner and a second one to honor The Bear s 719 career wins.
