George Manning opposes Josh Beynon as deputy mayor COUNCILLOR Joshua Beynon s recent election as deputy mayor of Pembroke Dock was met with opposition by outgoing mayor George Manning. At Pembroke Dock s annual town council meeting, Cllr Manning interrupted the official vote for the new deputy mayor, saying he felt Joshua Beynon s actions at last year s annual meeting deemed him an unsuitable candidate, and proposed Councillor Gordon Goff as deputy mayor instead. Cllr Manning said: “I would like to ask Cllr Beynon; when he was first elected into council he was not in support necessary of the appointment of mayor and deputy mayor.
Orleans County man dies after getting trapped under overturned tractor

TOWN OF GAINES, N.Y. (WKBW) â The Orleans County Sheriff s Office reports a 72-year-old man has died after being trapped under and overturned tractor.
According to the sheriff s office, the incident happened just after 3 p.m. Thursday on Ridge Road in the Town of Gaines.
The victim, George Manning, was found deceased when deputies arrived to the scene.
The sheriff s office says Manning s son asked for neighbors to call 911, then attempted to rescue his father by lifting the tractor enough to pull Manning out from underneath.

The mayor of Pembroke Dock, George Manning was pictured with Dean recently, handing a certificate of thanks to him. The certificate recognises the work Dean has been doing with vulnerable residents in town. Mr Driscoll, 45, who lives in Gays Lane, Pennar said: I am very proud to receive the certificate. I volunteered to help vulnerable people, shopping at least 10 times a week at the height of the pandemic, and picked up and delivered medication to people who were unable to collect it. I also messaged people most days to make sure they were ok, and then had social distant chats outside their houses with these people. All this has been so rewarding and I have been so happy to do it.
