Cost: 500 Description Students learn the basic theatre principles of focus, concentration and working with a partner. Then, with the assistance of a master teaching artist, participants will adapt their favorite fairy tales and myths into a presentation that will be performed for friends and family on the final day of camp! Teresa DeBerry has been a theater educator and professional actor, director and choreographer throughout the Eastern United States for 40 years. She taught for the Alliance Theater in Atlanta, Georgia for 20 years; where she was part of the team that created and implementing their most successful summer theater performance program for young actors. Veteran actor Mark Cabus presents his one-man stage version of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” once again to Oak Ridge Playhouse, except this time it’s streaming now through Christmas.
Playing 18 characters from Scrooge to Marley’s Ghost, Mr. Fezziwig, Bob Cratchit and even the smallest member, Tiny Tim, Cabus employs Dickens’ original text to bring the classic Christmas characters to life.
In nearly 90 minutes, the beloved characters from the holiday tale of transformation and redemption sing or dance or laugh or cry their way across the Playhouse stage like you’ve never seen before.
