A man who defaced five Owen Sound religious buildings in November pleaded guilty Thursday in a virtual Ontario Court of Justice hearing to committing mischief motivated by bias, prejudice or hate of a religion.
Brodie Williamson, 26, of 1005 2nd Ave. E. in Owen Sound, pleaded guilty to those five charges from Nov. 21 and four court order breaches, on Oct. 3, Oct. 31, Feb. 10 and March 2, all in Owen Sound.

The places of worship defaced, with a spray-painted ‘X’ and what was said to look like a target symbol, were St. George’s Anglican Church, Church of the Nazarene, Georgian Shores United Church, First Baptist Church on the corners of 10th Street and 4th Avenue East, and Beth Ezekiel Synagogue, 313 11th St. E.
