For the first time in its 17-year history, Family Network of Wyoming has two female leaders of color, and half of its board members are women.
The nonprofit located at 1029 44th St. SW in Wyoming has a mission “to provide dignity and love like Jesus, bringing people together to build stronger, healthier communities” with a goal of “fostering a caring, kind and inclusive environment” to ensure that its clients “leave feeling dignified and respected.”
Family Network offers a food pantry; mobile food trucks; no-cost lending of durable medical equipment such as crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, bathroom aids and shower chairs; a Christmas Store; and additional events, resources and services to about 11,000 people per year.

LONDON, ONT The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) reported 73 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths in the region on Saturday. Windsor-Essex has had a total of 14,737 confirmed cases of the virus, including 13,888 people who have recovered. Here’s the breakdown of new cases: 26 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases 18 cases are community acquired one case is outbreak related 28 cases are still under investigation. The death toll related to COVID-19 remains at 409 people. WECHU Medical officer of health Dr. Wajid Ahmed gave the weekly epidemiological summary on Friday. Windsor-Essex has had some increase in COVID-19 case counts but the increase is still not at the level seen by the rest of the province.

Leadership Sumner has hired Jamey Campbell as executive director, effective January 2021. In this newly formed role, Campbell will work with the board
to build an organization that is led with consistency and passion for the county. For many years, the program has been run by a rotating volunteer board. I am excited to announce the hiring of Jamey Campbell as our executive director, says Ray Carman, current president of Leadership Sumner. For the past few years, it has been the goal of the board to see this day come to pass.
