Her grandparents lived in what was then the Village of Medina, and Dorothy was laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery. (Mary Jane Brewer, special to cleveland.com) Facebook Share MEDINA, Ohio One hundred and thirteen years ago, on March 4, 1908, a tragic fire consumed the Lakeview School in Collinwood Village, now a part of the city of Cleveland. In what is often referred to as the Collinwood school fire, 172 children, two teachers and one rescuer were killed. At least one of the children had close ties to family in Medina.
