GALESBURG The Lake Storey expansion study is being taken off of the 2021 budget, following Monday night’s city council meeting.
The decision, which will essentially end the planned study for the foreseeable future, was approved in a 4-2 vote, with one abstention, and one member of the council not present.
In favor of removing the item from the budget were council members Wayne Dennis, Jaclyn Smith-Esters and Sarah Davis. City Manager Todd Thompson noted that the city has five options moving forward.
