Police have identified a 26-year-old man shot by a Butler County Sheriff s deputy in Ross Township Monday.
Alex Hoskins was brandishing a firearm, according to the Butler County Sheriff s Office release. He was treated and released from Fort Hamilton Hospital. The sheriff s office has Hoskins in custody.
Officials said they were executing a search warrant when the man was shot. Police said in the release that Hoskins believed he was under investigation, and that he bought a firearm in preparation for a confrontation with police.
Police said Hoskins admitted to possessing, sending, and receiving child pornography. He was charged with felonious assault, and three counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material/performance.

Dreams came true for members of the Milford High School Drama Club as they took to the stage to perform their ideal roles in “A Million Dreams: The Milford High School Drama Club Musical Talent Showcase.”
While the pandemic has altered the club’s ability to produce a live, traditional show, the MHS Drama Club members weren’t going to let that stop the music. The students took this perfect opportunity to choose the roles they have always wanted to perform. In this production, which is now available to watch on YouTube, viewers will see members of the drama club showing off their talent in solos and a small group number.
