WATERBURY – Barbara Jean Morgan, age 78, of Waterbury, departed to her heavenly home on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2021, after a long and loving life and a brief illness.
This sweet and beloved woman was known for her caring nature and strong values and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was born on Sept. 9, 1942, in Waterbury, one of two children to the late Frank and Alice (Gary Herbert Sr. She was educated in the Waterbury school system and received her practical nursing license with the state of Connecticut in 1975.
Barbara was employed with Lux Time, General Motors, NCDC and the State of Connecticut to name but a few. She retired from the State of Connecticut (Southbury Training School) in 2001. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Waterbury, and a member and past worthy matron of Calisto Chapter No. 4 Order of Eastern Star, State of Connecticut, P.H.A. ....
