Illinois Political Leaders Give Mixed Reaction to Gov. Pritzker's Reelection Bid

Illinois Republican Party Chairman Don Tracy said the governor failed residents in responding to the pandemic when it came to addressing in-person learning, getting back to work and nursing home care. Governor Pritzker’s record on helping Illinois through the pandemic is a failure. I look forward to talking about that and his radical policy agenda out of step with Illinoisans in the upcoming election, Tracy said in a statement. Paul Schimpf, Republican candidate for Illinois governor, also issued a statement on Pritzker s reelection Monday, calling his time in office the Pritzker Leadership Deficit. In three years, JB Pritzker has demonstrated he has neither the vision nor the leadership skills to unite our state. Simply put, Illinoisans deserve better they deserve a leader with commonsense who will renew our state, Schimpf said.

Breaking News | Defense and Security Insecurity caused by Fulani militias brought in to win 2015 election

Views: Visits 125 Abubakar Kawu Baraje has attributed the rising cases of insecurity in the country to the influx of Fulani militias brought into the country from neighboring countries like Sierra Leone, Mali, Senegal, Niger and Chad for election purposes in 2015. Baraje was a member of the opposition party, People’s Democratic Part, PDP and later became the National chairman of the break away faction of the PDP, the nPDP, which formed part of today’s ruling party, All progressives Congress, APC. He has however, since returned to the PDP. “The Fulanis causing security problems in the country were militias brought in to the country to help facilitate victory in the 2015 election. After the election, they refused to leave. I and other like minds wrote and warned those we started APC with that this (the high incidence of insecurity) was going to happen but nobody listened,” he explained.
