47 bodies of drug addicts found in June July 13, 2021 LAHORE : As many as 47 bodies of homeless and unknown drug addicts were found in various parts of the city in June 2021. The main reason behind their death was overdose and shortage of drugs, shortage of food and water and living in miserable condition etc. The Consultant Anti-Drugs/Narcotics Campaign and Prevention Expert Syed Zulfiqar Hussain was talking to media about dissemination of Monthly June Report on Monday. The report regarding dead bodies of homeless and unknown drug addicts was prepared by Drug Advisory Training Hub (DATH) & YOCFAN. Syed Mohsin, Adeel Rashid, Ms Mehak, Faizan Ahmad and Dr Ikram also present on the occasion. “If government has full facilities, then drug tests can be possible to all government servants,” he said. He mentioned that a body of a woman drug addict was also found.

Joint efforts stressed to fight drug abuse, illicit trafficking June 27, 2021 LAHORE : CCPO Lahore, Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has stressed joint efforts to tackle world drug problem and combat misinformation by sharing real facts on drugs from health risks and solutions to world drug problem, to evidence-based prevention, treatment, and care. He was addressing the participants of annual award distribution ceremony held here on Saturday on International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2021 organised by Drug Advisory Training Hub. Commissioner Muhammad Usman, Chairman Women Development Task Force Punjab Tanzeela Imran Khan, Director, DATH, Syed Zulfiqar Hussain, social worker Shahid Qadir, office-bearers of traders’ associations, industrialists, medical experts and people from different walks of life attended the ceremony.
