A bench of Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy said it was unfortunate that NPPA had failed to comply with the HC’s direction over Coronavirus-related matters. “Central government would not be permitted to play with lives of people who are running from pillar to post to secure life-saving drugs meant for treating Coronavirus-affected patients,” the CJ observed.

A high-level meeting decided to take up special drive to vaccinate all the LPG delivery staff, fair price shop dealers, petrol pump workers, auto and cab drivers, vendors in rythu bazaars, fruit, vegetable and flower markets, kirana shops, liquor shops, and non-vegetarian markets.

Image Source: IANS News Hyderabad, Jan 19 : Nearly 52,000 public healthcare workers in Telangana were vaccinated for Covid-19 on Tuesday, the third day of vaccination drive. Director of Public Health and Family Welfare G. Srinivas Rao said 51,997 healthcare workers working in Central and state government institutions were vaccinated at 894 session sites across the state. The authorities had planned to cover 73,673 beneficiaries. He said 71 per cent of the targetted beneficiaries were vaccinated. With this the cumulative number of beneficiaries vaccinated in the state rose to 69,625, the second highest number in the country after Karnataka, where 80,686 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in three days.
