You’ve seen her sing on “American Idol.” Now you can watch her perform in person, too.
Estero teenager Casey Bishop currently in “Idol’s” Top 5 singers will return home Tuesday, May 18, for a public concert at Outrigger Beach Resort on Fort Myers Beach.
The Village of Estero announced the news Tuesday afternoon. No other details are available, including the time of the concert or how to get tickets.
Bishop, 16, will visit her family in Estero on May 18 and then stop by Cypress Lake High School’s Center for the Arts to see her teachers and friends, according to a news release from communications specialist Marilyn Edwards of the Village of Estero.
That will only happen if she makes it into the show’s Top 3 singers this Sunday, said communications specialist Marilyn Edwards of the Village of Estero. Bishop, 16, of Estero is currently in the Top 5.
“Apparently it’s not going to happen unless she goes to the Top 3,” Edwards said Wednesday. “Two days ago, I was told this is gonna happen, definitely, it’s gonna happen.”
Edwards called it a misunderstanding between her and one of the show’s producers, Arinze “Ike” Ikemefuna. She said he told her Bishop would be performing at Outrigger Beach Resort on Fort Myers Beach and that Edwards could publicize that show.
