Medical testimony dominates testimony in Lima infant abuse trial

Testimony on the second day of the trial of Cheyenne Cooper, charged with felonious assault and child endangerment for injuries sustained in 2019 by her infant daughter, was dominated by medical experts.

LIMA Jurors in the trial of Cheyenne Hooper, the Lima woman charged with inflicting the serious injuries suffered by her daughter in March of 2019, heard a wealth of medical testimony on the trial’s second day Tuesday.

LISBON Anthony J. Antonas, 40, Poland, was bound over in county Municipal Court to the grand jury on charges of domestic violence, criminal trespassing, aggravated burglary and disrupting public services. Antonas is accused of striking Cheyenne Cooper in the nose three times and causing it to bleed in May of 2020 and then entering the home of Ester Blue, whose granddaughter, Cooper, had fled there to shelter from Antonas. He reportedly refused to leave when he was told to go by three people there and swatted Blue’s arm causing her phone to fall and break when she was attempting to call 911.
