New Expressway in Central Luzon
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Department Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar led on Thursday, July 15, 2021 the inauguration ceremony of the four (4) lanes toll-free expressway project connecting the provinces of Tarlac and Nueva Ecija.
Also present are Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Kazuhiko Koshikawa, Senator Christopher Lawrence Go, JICA Philippines Chief Representative Eigo Azukizawa, Secretary Harry Roque, Tarlac Governor Susan Yap, and other local officials of the provinces of Tarlac and Nueva Ecija.
The initial part of CLLEX that will be opened are the following sections covered by three (3) contract packages: 4.10 kilometer Tarlac Section, 6.40 kilometer Rio Chico River Bridge Section including the 1.5 kilometer Rio Chico Viaduct, and Aliaga Section with up and down ramps at Guimba-Aliaga Road.
July 17, 2021 ENTERTAINMENT venues with live performances, recreational venues, amusement parks, casinos, and traditional cockfighting, among others, are not allowed to operate under the general community quarantine with heightened restrictions (GCQ-HR) in Bacolod City.
This, after the National Inter-Agency Task Force (NIATF) placed Bacolod City under GCQ-HR from July 16 to July 22.
In his Executive Order (EO) No. 39, placing the City of Bacolod under GCQ-HR from July 16 to July 22 dated July 15, Mayor Evelio Leonardia said under the GCQ-HR, businesses are not allowed to operate based on the Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines and the TV pronouncement of Secretary Harry Roque include entertainment venues with live performers such as karaoke bars, bars, clubs, concert halls, theaters and cinemas.
